AI receptionist pricing: $49, $99 or $199 a month, flat

Three plans, all month to month. No setup fee, no long-term contract, if Ansdale is not answering your phone better than what you have now, you are not locked into finding that out the hard way.

Ansdale is an AI receptionist and answering service for contractors and home service businesses. Every plan answers 24/7, books the job on the call and charges no per-call fees, so a busy week does not change the bill.

What every plan includes

  • 24/7 answering in your business name, nights, weekends and holidays at the same price.
  • Live booking into your calendar during the call, with two-way Google Calendar sync so it only offers times you are actually free.
  • Emergency calls flagged under rules you set and escalated to your number.
  • An AI disclosure built into the greeting, so callers know who they are talking to.
  • No per-call fees, no commission on the jobs it books and no setup fee.
  • Your existing number: forward your line and customers keep calling the number they already know.

How much does an AI receptionist cost?

For a small business, AI receptionists mostly cost somewhere between about $25 and $300 a month. The headline number matters less than three things: how usage is counted (minutes, calls or conversations), whether booking is included on the plan you are looking at, and what happens when you go over.

Two examples, from the vendors’ own pages in October 2026: Smith.ai’s AI receptionist is free for 25 calls a month, then $150 a month for 75 calls; Jobber’s Receptionist is a $29 a month add-on on top of a Jobber plan, and Jobber’s own help center gives two allowances for it: 30 conversations in its Receptionist article (updated 9 July 2026) and 100 a month in its add-ons article (updated 13 August 2026). Ansdale is $49, $99 or $199 a month with 100, 250 or 500 AI call minutes and booking included on every plan. See Smith.ai pricing vs Ansdale and Jobber AI Receptionist vs Ansdale for the detail.

What happens if I go over my included minutes?

Extra AI minutes are billed at a flat per-minute rate rather than cutting off calls mid-conversation; the phone keeps answering, you just see it on the next invoice. If a plan is consistently running short, moving up a tier is usually cheaper than the overage; talk to us and we will tell you honestly which is true for your call volume.

Can I change plans later?

Yes, up or down, and the change applies from your next billing cycle. Most shops start on Starter or Growth and move up once they can see their actual call volume rather than guessing at it up front.

Pricing questions

Is booking included on the $49 plan?

Yes. Live booking into your calendar is on every plan, including Starter. Dispatch, call recordings and invoicing are what the higher plans add.

Do you charge per call?

No. Each plan includes AI call minutes (100, 250 or 500 a month). There are no per-call fees and no commission on the jobs Ansdale books for you.

Is there a setup fee or a contract?

No setup fee and no long-term contract. Plans run month to month and you can move up or down from the next billing cycle.

Do I need a new phone number?

No. You forward your existing business line, so customers keep calling the number on your truck, your website and your Google listing.
