Housecall Pro keeps its pricing simpler than most field service apps: three plans, two ways to pay. The starting price you’ll see advertised is $59 a month, which is the Basic plan for one user, paid annually. The details that change the real cost are how many people need logins, whether you need the API or Zapier, and add-ons like its AI receptionist, which doesn’t have a published price.
Here are Housecall Pro’s prices from housecallpro.com on 22 October 2026, what’s on each plan, and what typical businesses would pay. We make Ansdale, an AI receptionist, which works alongside field service software rather than replacing it.
How much does Housecall Pro cost?
| Plan | Paid annually (per month) | Paid monthly | Users included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $59 | $79 | 1 |
| Essentials | $149 | $189 | 5 |
| Max | $299 | $329 | 8 |
The pricing page shows extra users at $35 a month each on Max. It doesn’t show an extra-user price for Basic or Essentials, so ask if you’re between sizes. When we checked, there were also introductory offers for new customers (a reduced first month on Basic and Essentials, and a reduced first three months on Max). Those change often, so plan around the regular prices.
What’s different between the plans?
- Basic is the one-user plan for a solo operator. Online booking is included, and the higher plans keep it. Check the comparison table for the specific features you rely on.
- Essentials is aimed at small teams of up to five and adds more tools for running a crew.
- Max is for larger teams. It’s the only plan that lists open API access, and Housecall Pro’s FAQ says Max is the plan with Zapier access too.
That last point matters more than it looks. If you want to connect Housecall Pro to other tools, such as an outside AI receptionist, a CRM or a reporting tool, check whether the connection needs the API. If it does, you’re looking at Max, not Basic.
What would a typical business pay?
- A solo electrician on Basic: $59 a month paid annually, or $79 month to month.
- A four-person HVAC crew on Essentials: $149 a month paid annually, or $189 month to month.
- A ten-person plumbing company on Max: $299 a month paid annually for eight users, plus two extra users at $35 each, about $369 a month.
The annual discount is smaller than Jobber’s: paying upfront saves $20 to $40 a month depending on the plan. Our Jobber pricing breakdown covers the closest competitor.
How much is Housecall Pro’s AI receptionist?
Housecall Pro’s AI phone answering is called CSR AI. It’s listed as an add-on, but neither the pricing page nor the CSR AI page publishes a price, so you’ll need a quote from sales. The pricing page separately lists “AI team members” as included in every plan, without saying whether that includes CSR AI’s call answering. We went through what CSR AI does and what to ask in our Housecall Pro AI receptionist guide.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 14 days with no credit card. Housecall Pro’s FAQ says the trial gives full access to Max features, so as with any trial on the top plan, keep track of which features you actually use before choosing.
Housecall Pro or Jobber?
For a solo operator, Jobber’s Core plan is cheaper ($29 a month paid annually against $59 for Housecall Pro Basic). For small teams the two land closer together, and the decision usually comes down to which app your team finds easier and which add-ons you need. Our Housecall Pro alternatives and Ansdale vs Housecall Pro pages go further.
Whichever you choose, field service software runs the job; it doesn’t answer the phone while you’re under a sink. Ansdale, which is ours, answers your existing number 24/7, books jobs into its calendar and routes urgent calls to you, from $49 a month. It doesn’t connect natively to Housecall Pro today, so bookings stay in Ansdale’s calendar.
